Three signal conditioning instruments, the VEGAMET 624, VEGAMET 625, and VEGASCAN 693, have recently received both FM and CSA approvals. These three instruments have been classified as non-incendive and can be mounted in a Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C, and D area. They are also approved to provide intrinsically safe power to an instrument installed in a Class I, II, III, Division 1, Group A, B, C, D, E, F, and G area.
The VEGAMET 624 can provide intrinsically safe power to one device, HART or 4…20 mA. The VEGAMET 625 can provide intrinsically safe power to two HART devices. The VEGASCAN 693 can provide intrinsically safe power to quntity five HART devices.
