Mud Recovery in the Shaker
The expense involved in producing mud necessitates recycling and repeated use. To this end, the mixture of mud and drilling rock must be separated into its liquid and solid components in the shaker. Strong vibration separates the drilling rock, the sand and the liquid mud. The drilling rock and the sand are disposed of, while the valuable mud is recirculated to the continuous drilling process.
Mud Gauge Measurement with the VEGASON 62
The liquid level in the mud collecting basin is measured by the VEGASON 62 ultrasonic sensor. In this vessel, which is open to the top, the non-contact sensor measures under atmospheric pressure and gas conditions. Neither the vibration and intense noise caused by the shaker nor the turbulence of the liquid in the tank influence the measuring result.
