Accurate level measurement is a necessity when it comes to hazardous materials. Radioactive liquids require special handling and monitoring to ensure the safety of the surrounding environment and life. VEGA works with the U.S. Department of Energy to supply highly specialized systems to accurately and reliably monitor the levels of such liquids that the Department works to safely contain from the nation's nuclear power plants, among others. Non-contact radar instruments are virtually maintenance-free, which allows the material to be monitored for long periods of time without adjustment, reducing the risk to the health of employees and the surrounding environment.
